The following is taken from an exchange with Stephen Jenuth, a lawyer who is / was a member of the Calgary West Liberal Association (Or some such Political group.). 

            Mr. Jenuth, after a great deal of bantering about one’s right and duty to refuse to support a nation that would commit Mass Murder, finally accepted, at least I am prone to hope and believe that he did so accept, that everyone does have a right and a duty to refuse to support their nation if such nation is participating in plans and preparations that are predicated on a will and capacity to commit mass murder.

It is not the participants in the Tax Refusal who are deliberately breaking the spirit and the letter of the law. 

That special perfidy is the act of those who insist that all others support a nation while it actively and wilfully participates in plans and preparations that are based on a sure and certain will and capacity to commit mass murder, if need be, in order  that their nation's political will prevail.

You are attempting to rationalize your support of our nation's will and continuing desire to participate in plans and preparations that, regardless of any other argument, MUST be based on a will and capacity to ignore our higher duty to PRESERVE LIFE AND THE SACRED MEANING OF *LIFE*. 

THERE CAN BE NO ROOM FOR DEALS WITH THE WILL OF EVIL;  A WILL THAT LEADS TO THE TOTAL AND ALL-OUT USE OF ALL  SUCH WEAPONS OF MASS MURDER AND A DEVASTATED  PLANET DEVOID OF LIFE. 

ie. Lacking spine and intellect sufficient to defeat such arguments, you plead to the will of greed that others accept your justification for supporting the will and open intent of would-be mass murderers. 

In order that your will prevail you must stand ready to destroy everything that the  whole of humanity has ever achieved.  What grants you such right?? 

Not *The Rule Of Law*. 

Do not be so crass and lost to the blight of your greed as to offer such! 

*Humanity*, at least "MY HUMANITY", means much more to me than to ever allow myself to be swayed by the calm of hypocrites pleas for clean streets and anti-septic hospitals, while wilfully ignoring the fact that they support plans and preparations that render all such efforts an utterly useless waste of time and effort as they were / are built amid a society, a world, wherein *ALL* are quickly losing all sense of proportion and can now readily justify the use of such weapons on everyone else. 

 I will never allow soft-spoken and ever deceitful hypocrites to ignore that which they would see done with their dollars and in their names *If Need Be*. 

My eternal soul demands of me that I force you to admit to your failings, or unable to have you so wake, to bring about a situation that will force you to face a day whereupon you will have to choose between total and all-out use, or dismantling, of all nuclear and other weapons of mass murder. 

You offer no other resolution Jenuth. 

The solution to humanity's problems weren't resolved by Gorbachev's wilfully causing the collapse of the USSR. And, PLEASE!! Do not pretend that you are unaware of the re-newed arms race; this time around with a strong and re-invigorated China that is determined to match America's military might by 2010. Think of *Wen Ho-Lee* and the W88 model nuclear warhead technology. 

China now has America's nuclear secrets and can now downsize their cumbersome nuclear weapons while using American GPS technology to *guarantee* smokestack accuracy on any building of choice in any city, wherever in the world, within 35 minutes of its decision to *USE* such weapons. 

The W88 / W87 class of nuclear weapons, just in case you are not aware of their potential, are some 20 to 30 times more powerful than that which murdered the citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  The W88 is no taller than I am and less than two feet in diameter at the base. 

            (The work that had to be done in order that human ingenuity could develop the means of its early extinction should have been directed to schools, hospitals  and the provision of clean drinking water for *ALL*.  Instead, because cowards dare not refuse to support such insanity, the world, once again, approaches the abyss of total and all-out use of all nuclear weapons. Will there be a new Gorbachev who can be relied upon to sell-out his nation before this new race reaches its loud and  deadly climax? Don't count on it!) 

            Such weapons can be launched within minutes of any order to do so. Once  launched, nature's experiment with a fully sentient species IS OVER;  some nature, some sentiency.

 And nothing said at Nuremberg permitted any nation to build weapons the sole purpose of which is to obliterate cities and mass murder the defenseless human beings therein. 

And the closure of that argument MUST terminate with recognition of the reality that humanity has always used to their utmost potential each and every viable weapon that was ever delivered to armed forces. 

Knowing that Nuclear and other Weapons of Mass Murder are designed for one purpose and no other, DENIES us the right to claim that we have a right to possess and threaten to use such weapons *If Need Be*. 

If that is not sufficiently clear, simply imagine the insanity of 5 major nations, all claiming a similar right and all continuing to build such weapons and the means of their instantaneous delivery at any time when they feel so threatened  by another’s actions that they believe they have no choice but to launch all such weapons “pre-emptively”.

Now, add a dozen more nations to that mix of madness. <<

That *success* has led to a world wherein *education* is now meaningless as we graduate ever increasing numbers of sociopaths with no concept of *duty* to self or the world at large. Feel free to thank your present mind-set, your desire and unstated demand that your nation force *ALL* citizens to support the spread of such madness, for such results.

True.  I have done exactly that for the past twenty years. 

And my closing remarks to Mr. Elmer McKay as Revenue Minister in  my August 6, 1986 letter will be proved true: 

**Mr. MacKay, you should not doubt my determination, I shall succeed in forcing you, or your successor, to defend, in court, your government's "right" to force everyone to pay a portion of their income towards your government's wilful  involvement in the insanity of the nuclear arms race. 

I will, Mr. MacKay, succeed in abrogating that "right".**

And therein lies the problem: 

On the one hand *ALL* should willingly and openly contribute to the need and good of their society. 

However, when that society, as all other societies, has so lost its way and view of the meaning of life as to participate in plans and preparations that are predicated on an utter and total disrespect for the meaning and sanctity of life, a disrespect that openly accepts and embraces the nation's will to threaten to use such weapons against defenseless millions including our neighbours' children at school, church or in that which should be the safe harbour of their homes, IT IS TIME TO ADMIT THAT SANITY HAS FLED FROM THE WHOLE OF HUMANITY and that it is only by bringing about a set of conditions under which *all* MUST DECIDE BETWEEN TOTAL AND ALL-OUT USE, or dismantling, of all such weapons; will humanity stand any chance of progressing, as a *sentient species*, past the early days of the nuclear era. 

To do otherwise, to think otherwise in order to avoid that Day Of Reckoning, is to confirm that all think so little of the meaning of life THAT SUCH AS I AND ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE TAX REFUSAL WILL BE PERMITTED TO MAINTAIN OUR STAND AND NEVER AGAIN BE CALLED UPON TO FILE TAX RETURNS OR PAY INCOME TAXES UNTIL ALL SUCH WEAPONS ARE USED as your infection / your nation's infection / the world's infection by the madness of greed has become such a necessary blight to your meaningless lives that you can not conceive of a possibility of your being able to live without being guided by the demands of that madness . . . 

To a safer, saner and more caring world. To Duty.
